Mikiko Kawamoto, nicknamed Miko (ミーコ　Miko) is a high school girl and an avid thief, but wants to turn her life around. Deeply religious, she is also a Devilman who was formed after the demon Tollg merged with her. She is bugged by some of her friends to steal stuff for them, up till the point she gets agitated and involuntarily sprays two of them with acid. Later, she is captured by the Demon Busters and is freed by Devilman. Showing her gratitude towards Akira, she joins the Devilman Corps.

She is a supportive character and helps Dosu-Roku out of trouble caused from Amon.

In rest of the volumes of the ancient past she is replaced by a red-haired version of herself named Atai (アタイ), with a bug helm and pincer arm. Controlled by a demon which may or may not be Tollg , she attacks Sirene. But Kaim pierces her through the stomach bisecting her. Grieving over the loss of their friend, the two halves join and heal her body. The acid-spitting demon leaves her body (leaving the bug parts) and goes off to find a better host.

In Vol 05 she with her possible droogs Okei and Kyoko are attacked by Demon Busters who kill her friends like they are new characters in dragon ball super. She gets away and is f'd out but Dosu-Roku and Meri-Ken Jou arrive and try to help her. They want her to come with them and meet Akira but she spazzes out and shoots acid out her big b00bs and lightly singes Dosu's arm. Cadney comes in and had his goons subdue the duo, before giving Miko Dr. Ranimura's card. He said he's the Dr's secretary and is of a secret organization to fight daemons under the ministry of defense. He brings Miko with him and sez the violence done to Dosu/Meri was unsightly and that That Person Dosu told Miko about is a full daemon.

After Akira and Dosu-Roku came in to save Miko and Akira make Dr R bring him to her cell, Akira shows her that its ok to be a Devilman as they ain't daemons.

After Akira fights Cadney, Cadney devolves into a big abomination like T R Edwards in Robotech Prelude To The Shadow Chronicles and Dosu-Roku, Meri-Ken-Jou and Miko are there and the 2 boys run up to him. In Akira's mind Cadney is psychicly attacking him with the memories Cadney absorbed, including the guy with the chain, Manjiro, and the memories affect the Humans there too. Akira sez "We are Devilman and you are different, now disappear demon!"

Akira seemingly has ended Cadney, Miko shows him the Devilmen Army and they can stand up to the enemy. A piece of Cadney remains and sticks to Akira's foot as he flies off to see Miki Makimura like with Bebi and Dr Myuu in DBGT.

In the 1st volume, which takes place after the last chapters as its non linear, She met with the Bonz of Hinduism and saw Akira had been taken over by Amon. Not wanting to do nothing, Dosu-Roku fused with 3 of the strongest Devilmen and became some Yugioh Card looking monster. Miko tried to get him not to fuse as he'd be all devolved and gross like her but he sez she's beautiful. The fusion was painful but he toughed it out like a bada55 shonen hero instead of a candya55 girly man like we got today and went to face Amon over the sea(like under the sea but not being crushed by a mile of water above you. He attacked but was no match but showed spirit that Amon noted. Eventually his head was pierced ad not like a feminist who gets nose rings, and uses this to try to contact Akira. He sees him naked and thin but that last one might just be the weird art style. So he bites it and Akira don't wake up, but he gave it a good shot. Miko watched but then Zenon faces Amon and went to another dimension to block the psychic signals of those watching.

Amon: The Apocalypse of Devilman

She's gotten pretty bada55. Too bad she never really beats anything.

As part of the Devilman Corps she hunts malicious Demons with her sidekick Yumi. During an attack from Seylos on the Devilman Corps Miko and Yumi go to tell Akira, but are attacked by Amon after Akira lost control over the demon. She survives Amon's rampage, but is forced to watch Yumi being devoured by Amon. She is last seen watching Akira fall to the ground, leaving a huge crater of Amon's body in the middle of the street.

As a social outcast she is bullied by her fellow high school students. From being discovered as a Demon she is driven out of her school and home. She befriends the young boy Susumu, saving him from his evil parents. She later kills a bunch of Demon Busters and grows fluttery pink wings. Her powers are more toned down compared to the original version.

In Grimore, she is named Michiko and is a member of a gang of punks, with some other familiar faces, but unlike them she seems quite bored. She turns down a boy that looked an awful lot like Ryo Asuka who offered her sex.
