Garla (ガルラ) is a Science Fiction manga created by Go Nagai. This manga was supposed to be the next super robot series after UFO Robo Grendizer, but the conflict between Nagai and Toei Animation regarding the paternity of Daiku Maryu Gaiking left Garla inconclusive. However, the design of the giant robot Big Daitan, which is piloted by the main character of the book, is obviously derivative of that of Grendizer.
